Wishing all of you amazing moms out there the most wonderful Mother’s Day! Being a mother has been the most beautiful blessing, and I am so grateful. It’s challenging, rewarding, anxiety-inducing, and laughter-filled all in one. It’s taught me what unconditional love really means and made me grow as a woman in ways I didn’t think possible. My son is my favorite person in the world, and I am so proud to be his mom.

Here are some things that I’m enjoying this week, with a few recipes to try and some bonus, nonfood-related items.
Crunchy Chili Onion

If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen me mention this one already, but it’s so good it’s worth mentioning again. This is an oil-based condiment that you see often in Chinese cuisine, with crunchy bits of garlic and onion. I find it to be mildly spicy, with a bit of crunch and bold, savory flavors. I specifically love this on eggs, but it’s also great on avocado toast, dumplings, pasta, and noodles. I got this at Trader Joe’s.

Monster Cookie Mix from Miss Jones Baking Co.

The monster cookie mix from Miss Jones Baking Co. is gluten-free, dairy-free, and dangerously delicious. You’ll just need an egg, some peanut butter, and butter to make these (I used Earth Balance sticks). They have bits of oats, mini chocolate chips, and M&M-style candies that are naturally colored. They didn’t last long in my house, and I ordered two more bags when they were gone. You can get this mix on Amazon or the Miss Jones website.
Pineapple Dragonfruit Smoothie Bowl

The combination of pineapple and dragonfruit in this smoothie bowl is the perfect flavor for summer. Dragonfruit has the most beautiful pink color and it’s full of healthy vitamins, nutrients, and fiber. I love this for breakfast after a tough workout, but it’s also a great healthy option if you’re craving ice cream. Kids seem to like this one because they’re amazed by the gorgeous natural color. You can find the recipe for the smoothie bowl pictured here over on my Instagram, or try my dragonfruit smoothie recipe here.
Rebbl Prebiotic Drinks

These prebiotic tonics from Rebbl are a delicious sparkling beverage that are slightly sweet with fantastic fruity flavors. They’re a great alternative to soda or as a bubbly alcohol free treat. The root beer flavor is my favorite but the blackberry version shown here is a great option for summer. I like to drink this on ice with some fresh blackberries. I buy these at Whole Foods and they can also be found on the Rebbl website.
Cocoyo Dairy Free Yogurt

This is by far my new favorite yogurt. It’s made with simple ingredients, the flavor is sweet with just a slight tang, and it’s thin but not overly watery. My only complaint about this is that they only seem to come in 8 ounce offerings, and I’d definitely like a bigger option. I buy this at Whole Foods and you can find it near you using their store locator.
Nonfood items I’m currently loving:
Here are a few nonfood items that help make life a bit easier and keep me centered.
The new book by Kimberly Snyder

I’ve been following Kimberly Snyder for years and have read all of her other books, This new book is an uplifting, easy read, and perfect if you’re considering the addition of mindfulness and enlightenment in your life. It sounds like a self-help motivational book, but it’s more about meditation, mindfulness, and inner peace. I enjoyed the audio version because it includes meditations that you can bookmark and save for later. Kimberly also offers an amazing app called Solluna that is full of free mediations.
Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint
I love this skin tint and use it every day. This is a tinted serum and sunscreen all in one, so it saves some time in the morning and gives your skin a dewy glow. It provides a medium coverage similar to a light foundation and has hyaluronic acid to boost your skin’s moisture and give it some plumpness. The serum is a bit on the pricey side but a little goes a long way. A bottle of this usually lasts me about 2 months. You can buy this at Sephora, Nordstrom, Gilt, Rue La La., and Dermstore.
Huberman Lab Podcast
Dr. Huberman is a neuroscientist that discusses a variety of health issues on his podcast, from getting a good night’s sleep to balancing your hormones. He provides amazing insight into the human body, and data-backed ways to optimize your health. Some of my favorite episodes are “How to optimize your hormones“, “Effects of fasting” and “The biology of slowing and reversing aging“.
Honest Beauty Mascara and Lash Primer
LOVE this stuff! This makes my lashes so thick and long, and Honest uses ingredients that are much cleaner than the average makeup company. I order get this from Amazon and Target.
