Sir Kensington Dairy Free Sauces
Sir Kensington’s is a great brand with a variety of products, but my favorite is their sauces. We use the chile lime crema all the time on Mexican dishes, and it’s great on burgers and sandwiches too. Other sauces they offer include curry marsala, garlic, and gochujang. Bowl Style Meals
Have you seen this food trend? The idea is basically that you throw a bunch of stuff into a bowl and then it’s a “bowl meal”. There are buddha bowls, breakfast bowls, taco bowls, you get the idea. I love this trend because it’s simple and an easy go-to option when you’re low on food in the house or short on time. Here’s how it works: to create your bowl add 1 serving of carbs (such as potatoes, rice, or beans), 1 serving of veggies, and a serving of protein. I do this pretty often for breakfast, which usually consists of eggs, 1/4 cup Fillo’s Beans, and some sautéed baby spinach or whatever leftover veggies I have on hand. I top it all with some Cholula sauce or that chile lime crema I mentioned above, a bit of avocado, and a big handful of cilantro. Kids like this idea because they can build their own bowl, and it’s a good way to get them hands-on in the kitchen. Try my Shrimp Sushi Bowls if you want to jump on the trend!
Eating Gluten And Dairy Free
I’ve been following this blog for a while now on Instagram, and I am constantly in awe of the amazing dishes they’re sharing. There are some seriously drool-worthy recipes over on the website, like Nutter Butter Cookies and Cinnamon Rolls. Go check it out!
Brooklyn Delhi Indian Condiments
I LOVE these products. These are handcrafted and made in small batches in New York, and they are delicious. You can buy them at Whole Foods, on their website, or use their store locator to find them near you. If you like Indian flavors but don’t have a lot of time or room in your spice cabinet, you will love this brand. The simmer sauces can always be found in my pantry and they’re a great option for those busy weeknights. Just cook up 1 pound of chicken or veggies, add in your sauce, stir in a bit of coconut milk, and a pretty tasty dish is ready for dinner. I serve this with some rice, veggies, and of course naan.
Vegan Croissants at Whole Foods
You may have seen me mention these before, but the vegan croissants are Whole Foods are to-die-for. They’re baked daily right in the store, and they taste just like traditional croissants. They’re buttery, flaky, rich, and so perfect. If you warm them up in the oven for a minute they taste absolutely divine. I like to use them in this recipe for custard toast, which tastes like cheesecake in a croissant. It’s a pretty amazing way to start your day.
