I recently received a package of baked goods from Sweet Alexis Bakery, and I can't tell you how excited I was to try all of these goodies. I've had my eye on this California bakery, which provides delicious baked goods that are all dairy free, egg free, peanut free, AND tree nut free (all prepared in a dedicated facility). It's a true find, even more so since these treats actually taste GOOD! We've had our fair share of dairy free baked goods in our house; some of them edible, some not so much. To find a prepared baked good sans dairy that you actually WANT to eat is...well...a rare and fabulous treat. The best part is that all of the products from Sweet Alexis freeze well, so you can pull them out for company (or save them for yourself for later)!

The first goodie we broke into was the banana bread...

Very moist and flavorful, this bread delivers that homemade "made by Nana" feeling, without Nana's usual milk and eggs. We all thought this dairy free banana bread was delicious, and had tons of fabulous banana flavor.

Next up was the zucchini bread...

This was my two-year-old's favorite. The bread was incredibly moist, full of flavor, and had a ton of zucchini throughout the loaf.

Now on to the cookies. I was most impressed by these shortbread cookies:

    Sweet Alexis Shortbread Cookies

To pull off a cookie that normally contains loads of forbidden butter is pretty momentous if you ask me. This dairy free shortbread cookie had the perfect shortbread crumble, with loads of buttery flavor and sweetness. No one would ever guess that it's dairy free!

    Sweet Alexis Oatmeal Cookie

Next was the oatmeal cookies. I LOVE oatmeal cookies, and let me tell you: this cookie does not disappoint. It's chewy, flavorful, and just look at that texture! This bag didn't last very long in my pantry...

    Sweet Alexis Chocolate Chip Cookie

Last up was the chocolate chip cookie. Who could ever live without this classic treat? Sweet Alexis claims that this is "simply the best tasting in the market", and I think I would have to agree. It's chewy, chocolatey, moist, crumbly, and addicting. Each cookie has the perfect ratio of chocolate chips, and with each bite I'm brought back to my cookie filled childhood days.

Visit Sweet Alexis online right here, and make sure to check out all of the other decadent products that they offer (especially the cupcakes!). These great dairy free products are perfect to have on hand when you don't feel like baking, and they also offer gift certificates. Make sure to tell them I sent you, and enjoy!

We're lucky to live near the Sweet Alexis bakery. Their cookies and bread are great but the cupcakes are out of this world!
