"And just like the moon, we must all go through phases."
Did you catch this weekend's "Worm Moon" if you're in the northern hemisphere? This was the third and final full moon of Winter, which means Spring has finally arrived!

I'm looking forward to the sunshine (of course) and the bright flavors of this season. You can expect to see more light fare on the blog with lots of fresh berries and greens, and easier, speedy recipes that allow more time for playing outside. I hope you enjoy this season of hope and new beginnings, and that it brings you happiness, safety, and good health!
Here's what I'm loving this week:
Emmy's Organics
Emmy's makes delicious organic cookies that are gluten-free, dairy-free, grain-free, and vegan. These are macaroon-type cookies with a coconut base and simple, recognizable ingredients. They offer soft chewy cookies in flavors like birthday cake, chocolate chip, and peanut butter, as well brownie snaps, lemon ginger, and the chocolate-covered bites pictured above. They recently added grain-free baking mixes to their lineup, which I'm looking forward to trying.
I buy these at Whole Foods and on Amazon. You can also shop on their website or use their store locator to find them near you.
New Dairy-Free Products at the Natural Products Expo
I didn't attend the Natural Products Expo but boy am I getting excited about all the great new products coming out soon. A few notable items that I saw posted to Instagram are new butter and cheese choices from Violife, dairy-free cottage cheese from Miyokos, oat milk coffee and creamer options from Califia Farms, lemon cake from Abe's Muffins, soft serve from Ripple Foods, and oat milk options from Nature's Charm. Big Box Vegan has some great posts of the items over on their Instagram.
Matcha
I've always enjoyed sipping green tea and green tea lattes, but I've recently started experimenting with matcha and making lattes at home. If you aren't familiar with matcha, this is a finely ground powder made from green tea leaves and is said to have several health benefits and stress-reducing effects. You can enjoy it as a traditional hot cup of tea, or try it in a dairy-free latte. I've been using it lately in this Matcha Mint Smoothie that you may have seen me post this week:
I'm currently using the matcha from Sunfood Superfoods, and when I run out will be trying a ceremonial grade option. Let me know if you enjoy matcha and your favorite recipes in the comments below!
Feel Good Foods Dumplings & Potstickers
Feel Good Foods is a brand that offers delicious gluten-free products in the frozen food department of many grocers. A word of caution - many of their items do contain milk, so be sure to read the product labels carefully. But if you're able to find their dairy-free options, I think you'll be pretty impressed. Their egg rolls are my go-to when we're craving Chinese food, but their dumplings and potstickers are my absolute favorite. They're available with vegetables, chicken, or pork, with plenty of umami flavors and soft, delicate texture. I love them in my dumpling ramen soup, which I'll be posting the recipe for soon.
Big Man's World
Big Man's World is a food blog run by Arman Liew that features easy, healthy recipes. Most of his recipes are dairy-free or can easily be adapted, and they're all seriously drool-worthy. You can search the recipes on his website based on your dietary needs, and sort by gluten-free, vegan, paleo, keto, etc. Go check out the website here.
Other things I'm loving:
Good American Jeans
I hesitated to try these because of the price tag but I'm so glad I finally did! They fit like a glove, providing good tummy support and gorgeous leg shape. The fabric is soft, slightly stretchy, and they maintain their shape throughout the day.
100% Pure
100% Pure is a brand that focuses on cruelty-free and organic, natural beauty products. All of their products are made without any chemicals, synthetics, fragrances or dyes, and most of the items I've tried have been great. I wasn't crazy about their BB cream, but I love their eye cream, mascara, and vitamin C boost.
What do you think of my favorites this week?
